A dental implant itself is a titanium screw, which is placed directly into your jawbone, replacing your missing tooth root. After it’s fitted, the bone surrounding your implant will gradually fuse to it, holding the implant firmly in place. A false tooth (a crown or denture) is then fitted to the top of the implant (the abutment), giving a natural look to your smile.

How do Dental Implants work?

Dental implants are surgically placed in your jawbone, where they serve as the roots of missing teeth. Because the titanium in the implants fuses with your jawbone, the implants won’t slip, make a noise or cause bone damage the way fixed bridgework or dentures potentially could. And the materials won’t decay like your own teeth that support normal bridgework can.

My first time at John’s dentist. Was wanting my tooth first ripped out. Was causing me so much pain. Then I wanted to save it. Normally NHS patients don't have a choice. Its lose it basically. I learned one thing about john. He is very experienced, traditional and not a money grabber like a lot of dentists. He was happy I pay in instalments as he knew I couldn't afford to cough up 400.00 in one go. I'd recommend this man to anyone. Bit of advice. If your honest and based on your individual circumstances. He might let you pay in instalments as he is more interested in your health and teeth rather than do and NHS on you and rip it out. Now that is a dedicated dentist and dedication to your patients is not only your no1 priority but is certainly this dentists.

John's a great dentist who knows what he's doing and isn't overpriced like the other lisburn road dentists. He's been my dentist since I was a student 4 years ago and I still travel from Antrim because I know he does quality work. He will be honest with you and tell you what's best rather than seeing pound signs.
